Demolition of Power Plant Content At the Amcor site in Ghent, there is a former power plant that has been out of service for some time. To expand production, we are responsible for the asbestos removal and demolition of this power plant. This involves the complete demolition of various buildings, consisting of both concrete and steel structures. This includes the demolition of a chimney with a height of 86 meters, surrounded by several buildings in full production, which adds some complexity. There are also numerous asbestos applications within the power plant, to be removed through both simple handling and hermetic zone procedures.
The demolition works at the former power plant are currently in progress.
